Clare grew up on Hayling Island, Hampshire, where she had her first studio in 2001.

Having studied Fine Art and Illustration at Portsmouth Art School from 1988-1993.

She graduated and then travelled, collecting inspiring images with photography, sketching and painting.

Clare has painted scenes from countries including Thailand, Nepal, India and South Africa.

Clare is now based in Southsea, Hampshire. Her studio has stunning views overlooking the Solent and Isle of Wight. She paints local scenes - seascapes depicting beach huts, piers, light houses & boats.

Also the surrounding Hampshire landscapes of blossom trees, rich summer countrysides, autumnal warmth and winter snow scenes.

Her paintings give a sense of clarity, calmness and wellbeing.
